I've only started about two weeks ago with Babbel and it seems fine, however, the pattern of lessons is repetitive. I would like the speaker to say the word, then say it slowly so I could listen to it as often as needed to get the pronunciation. Also, there is not a means where my miserable pronunciation could be heard and corrected.

I tried Rosetta Stone first. Now I'm with Babbel.

I'm a complete novice at languages, my reasons for learning my language of choice, Swedish, is due to my son. He is doing a degree at university in Sweden, and, intends to remain there afterwards to live and work. So I would like to be able to speak Swedish when I'm able to go and visit. So I found Babbel, tried a free mini lesson, and got hooked. I have a neurological illness, which affects my memory, but I'm learning Swedish. If I can you can

Good news for Babbel, I'm getting the hang of it. You also make me super motivated. Babbel is by far one of the most interesting applications for learning foreign languages. The lessons are presented in a practical and clear manner. The native speakers speak clear language and this also makes learning fun. In addition, you can also try out different language levels.During and after each lesson, I keep repeating the words and sentences out loud and write all this in a notebook.Du bist absolut fantastisch

Love it missing nothing second language learned Spanish yes too sweet thank you xxxxooxxx plan to travel communication and even work with my friends family and I have been happy and learning and languages are amazing yay babble Love Kelsey Copeland & friends xxxx

Having so much fun with this and enjoyed getting the follow up emails

I've been using Babbel to learn Russian for a pretty short time, but I really like it. I previously used Duolingo, but I really prefer Babbel. When I first started using it I was very pleasantly surprised at the amount of explanations and useful advice you get, as well as the fun facts in between exercises. I absolutely love the focus on understanding Cyrillic, instead of just being taught random words. I like the style of questioning (repeating, filling in blanks, listening, conversations) etc. The lessons are actually fun and I always enjoy myself and don't feel as if it's a chore. My partner is using Babbel for Dutch and also really enjoys it, I'd say it's totally worth it. I would definitely advice to start with a short subscription to see if it's your cup of tea and extend from there on.

Useless for me. I learned to speak Spanish, as advertised. But no one in Patagonia could understand anything I said. And I couldn't understand anything they said to me. I took over 100 courses and worked my way up to intermediate level. But I couldn't order a cup of coffee in a cafe. And yes - Babel will renew your subscription, over and over.

I wanted to join Babbel for advanced Spanish but accidentally signed up for entry level in August 2020. I immediately wrote to the Customer Support to request a change of level. There was no reply, so I never used Babbel and was changed for the first six months anyway. Now, six months later, I was charged AUTOMATICALLY again, and babbel's Customer Support remains unresponsive. (Plus, the phone line they advertise yields no access to support). This company is a rip-off. Be aware!

This is one of the easiest programs I have ever used. it is intuitive and the refreshers have helped a lot. The hardest part for me is making sure I set time aside to do it.

I've been using Babbel for a year now to learn Portuguese—it makes it SO EASY to put in at least 15 minutes per day of practice, which has given me enough confidence to then practice more outside of the app. Learning languages takes time and effort, of course, but a little bit every day quickly adds up, and being able to just open up an app on my phone while eating breakfast or cooking dinner means that I don't really have excuses to NOT practice now! And the lessons are structured in a really intuitive and helpful way. Paying for Babbel is a little painful, but at the same time, knowing that I want to get my money's worth is added incentive to use it as often as I can.

Great app. Very dynamic with lots of exercises. Very good for helping to remember the vocabulary you have studied with flash cards and different type of exercises

I was just on the part saying what language I wanted to learn and they don't even have the language I would like to speak, Japanese.

I am enjoying learning Italian. The program of learning is terrific: covering all skill levels. I am a visual learner and this program offers ways for the visual and tactile learner. I would like to see a summary of what has been taught in order to review the lessons. For example Usage of definite and indefinite articles. Something tactile that I can hold onto.
